Finally made it back to Starbucks tonight! The kids at the counter welcomed me like a long-lost friend. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much going on. A very pretty couple played cards at a window table. The seats were full except for this grumpy old guy taking up three tables. He was using one table for his laptop and paperwork. The table to the left of him held his power cord while the table to his right held only his coffee cup. He looked me in the eye as I searched an empty table, but rather than offer me a seat, he returned to his research. When I asked if anyone was sitting at the table with the coffee, he grumbled something unintelligible, moved the cup to his power cord table and returned to his work.
