CLASSY!
From Patrick & Ronelle in Iowa:
The head shop lady had never heard of Todd but loved the posters and said she was going to check him out and thought a lot of their customers would as well. There was a tatoo shop, very clean and impressive next to the head shop and he stopped to ask about the posters. He hung one up in his window and downloaded the CD off of I-tunes. These store are right on the Drake University campus.
They guy at the indie store in Des Moines (the only one) said he wasn’t planning to order any but after we stopped in he was going to order a few to keep on hand.

WISH I had gotten a picture when at a Bottle Rockets show a couple of weeks ago. We had put stickers in various places the venue (Tractor Tavern) and some guy peeled off the individual lines, and then cut them up so they said things like:
Pot Loving
Peace Smoking, etc.
Then he put them on the front of his shirt. It was hilarious at the time…should have captured that one.
From the girls in Indiana:
{Lynda and Rene’}
We found fans choosing their own phrases from the stickers as well. We left a stack of them at the entrance gate to the festival and people would approach the merchandise table already wearing their own little phrases. As the night wore on, however, Rene’ got it in her head to start stickering people herself. She’d look at a person and say, “you look like a….” and plaster a sticker across their chest. She’d then hand them the card and start telling them about the new CD. She labeled the guy in the striped shirt (below) a “porn watcher” but when he read his nickname, he shook his head with disgust and tore it off. She asked to try again but the kid didn’t like being labeled a “pot smoker” either. He was about to walk away when I said, “wait a minute, I know which one you are” and plastered “peace lovin’” across his chest. He smiled and even added “tree huggin’” himself while Rene told him all about “The Devil You Know.”
Earlier in the evening, a gentleman approached the table and grinned over Todd’s new t-shirts. Rene’ told him he should buy the shirt – that she could tell it fit him perfectly. He said, “maybe 25 years ago” and she replied with, “aww, c’mon, you’re at least a pot smoker, I can see it in your eyes.” He grinned again and said, “I’m a cop.” She lauged and said, “yeah, right – and I’m a virgin.” The guy laughed even harder, flashed his badge and walked away…
This story is also from Stacie in California:
we’re accepting it as a photo entry – just
because it’s so darn perfect!
I got my kit last week and we went out to catch a band at a venue that would be considered “Todd friendly”. I put the stickers in the door (where all the band and collateral materials go). As the night went on, more and more people were wearing the different “labels” on thier shirts – each describing that persons most likely personality. The bar was full of peace lovin’, pot smokin, tree huggin’ porn watchin’, lazy ass hippies —- and none of it was my doing and none of them were people I knew.
